The Beginning
Take refuge and arouse bodhicitta.
The Main Part
In front of the field of merit, think that in this and other world systems, there are countless buddhas, bodhisattvas, and Dharma masters who have completed their deeds of delivering sentient beings and are now intending to pass into nirvana. Visualize yourself multiplying your body into as many as there are atoms in the world. Together with all sentient beings, you request the buddhas and masters not to pass into nirvana but to remain and continue to turn the Dharma wheel for the benefit of all living beings.
Recite prayers according to scriptures, such as the following:
Joining my palms together, I pray To you who intend to pass into nirvana, Remain, for eons as many as the atoms in this world, And bring well-being and happiness to all living beings.
With the thought of requesting the buddhas and Dharma masters to always remain in this world, I will continue to carry out this practice in every session.
