The Beginning
Take refuge and arouse bodhichitta.
The Main Part
Meditate on the three positive actions of the body:
Saving lives: Actively protecting and saving the lives of beings who are in danger, such as releasing animals intended for slaughter.
Practicing generosity: Giving one's wealth, time, and effort to help those in need and to support the Dharma.
Maintaining pure conduct: Following moral discipline and respecting the commitments one has made.
These actions lead to longevity, wealth, and happy rebirths. Therefore, resolve: I will look for every opportunity to perform these virtuous actions with my body.
The Ending
Dedicate all the merit of your practice to all sentient beings.
Reminder
Even small acts of kindness can have great results. We should never underestimate the power of a single virtuous action done with a pure motivation.
