The Beginning
Take refuge and arouse bodhichitta.
The Main Part
Meditate on the three negative actions of the mind:
Covetousness: Desiring the possessions, qualities, or success of others and wishing to have them for oneself.
Ill-will: Harboring thoughts of harming others, seeking revenge, or wishing them ill.
Wrong views: Denying the laws of karma, the existence of past and future lives, or the qualities of the Three Jewels.
The mind is the source of all actions. If the mind is pure, everything is pure; if the mind is defiled, everything is defiled. Therefore, resolve: I will constantly watch my thoughts, abandon negative mental states as soon as they arise, and cultivate a mind filled with contentment, goodwill, and correct understanding.
The Ending
Dedicate all the merit of your practice to all sentient beings.
