The Beginning
Take refuge and arouse bodhichitta.
The Main Part
Meditate on the kindness of the teacher: The teacher is kinder than all the Buddhas, for although the Buddhas have appeared in the past, I was unable to meet them because of my own karma. It is the teacher who has come into my life now, in a form I can see and hear, to show me the way to liberation.
The teacher's kindness in giving me the Dharma is greater than if someone were to give me all the riches in the world. They show me the path out of suffering and lead me toward the lasting happiness of enlightenment. Without the teacher, I would remain lost in the darkness of samsara forever.
Therefore, resolve: I will always keep the kindness of my teacher in my heart and will try to repay it by practicing the Dharma diligently.
The Ending
Dedicate all the merit of your practice to all sentient beings.
