The Beginning
Take refuge and arouse bodhichitta.
The Main Part
Visualize a sentient being who elicits compassion... Think that you offer him or her all your happiness, your beloved body, your possessions, and your roots of virtue... then, you take in all his or her suffering upon yourself... Sync it with your breath: When you exhale, give away happiness; when you inhale, take on sufferings.
Reminder
The belief in an existent self (self-grasping) is in fact a misguided and deranged attachment... We must assiduously practice the exchange of self and others.
The Ending
Dedicate the merit of your practice to all sentient beings.
